The Associate Board Supporting Libby’s Friends Across Alabama

Jennifer serves as the Development Director and President of the Associate Board for Libby’s Friends. She recently moved to New York City with her family of five! She will be serving Libby’s Friends this year remotely. Jennifer graduated from Auburn University Montgomery with a degree in Accounting, and loves all things spreadsheets!

Maddie grew up in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, and is the primary caregiver for her husband, Brian. Two years after marrying, Brian sustained a brain injury from meningitis.

Prior to Brian’s injury, Maddie worked as an accountant and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama and her MAcc from UAB. Through her personal experience, Maddie has a deep, firsthand understanding of the challenges involved in caring for someone with a disability.

Pritchard Allen, a native of Birmingham, Alabama, owns and operates Allen Mortgage, an independent mortgage brokerage. He graduated with a B.A. in Public Relations from the University of Alabama. Pritchard is a proud dad to two children!

Chandler Kunka, from Alpharetta, GA, is a physical therapist with United Ability. Chandler obtained her Bachelor’s of Biology at Samford University. She then went on to get her Doctor of Physical Therapy from UAB.

John Trippe, a native of Homewood, Alabama, currently works at SCA Health as an associate in mergers & acquisitions. John graduated from the University of Alabama with degrees in Finance and Economics, as well as a Master’s in Economics. John currently lives in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, with his wife, Lauren, and their two boys, Thompson and John David.

Emily lives in Trussville with her husband and baby girl. After graduating from the University of South Alabama, Emily became a Special Education Pre-K teacher in the Trussville City School system.

Sarah Beth currently lives in Fairhope, Alabama. She works at Provision, a coffee shop and wine bar. She has a special needs son, who is one of Libby’s Friends. Sarah Beth knows firsthand how hard it is to raise a child with a disability. Because of this, she is ready to lead our South Alabama team to bring more awareness of Libby’s Friends to that area!

Hope, living in McCalla, AL, is a full-time caregiver and stay-at-home mom to her two adopted medically complex children. Hope graduated Summa Cum Laude from Birmingham-Southern with an English degree, and worked in Communications/Alumni Affairs at BSC and UAB before she and her husband decided she should stay home with their children. Hope is dedicated to helping the disabled community that both of her children are a part of.

DeAnna currently lives in Dora, Alabama, and is a busy stay-at-home mom. She has three children; one, Rustin, has special needs. She has seen firsthand how challenging life can be while living with special needs and will use her enthusiasm to help others as a benefit for Libby’s Friends this year and in years to come.

Kristen currently lives in Vestavia Hills, but has grown up in the Birmingham area. She attended UAB for dental assisting and dental hygiene. She is married to her husband, Matt, and has three children. Their youngest son, Brooks, was born with a genetic abnormality. She has seen firsthand how hard it is to obtain the equipment and therapy he needs, which led her to become involved in Libby’s Friends.

Will lives in Birmingham, AL, with his wife, daughter (5), and son (2). Will attended the University of Alabama and is now a Regional Sales Manager at McLeod Software.

Bella has been with Libby’s Friends for three years now in the Birmingham area. Recently, her family moved to South Alabama, and she plans to spread our mission to untouched areas there. She met her husband Alex at the University of West Alabama, and they now live in Spanish Fort, AL, with their daughter, Rory, and maltipoo, Asher.

She attended UWA, where she studied pre-nursing, followed by attending Wesleyan College in Macon, GA, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She is employed by VITAS Healthcare as a Sales Representative in Healthcare sales.

Virginia, a Mountain Brook native, attended Auburn University. Virginia currently works at Cahaba Brewing Company as a graphic designer and runs their social media. Virginia was named Birmingham’s Visionary of the Year, and her team helped raise over $80k for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!

Morgan is from Birmingham, AL, and works as a speech therapist at Lakeshore Rehab. She is passionate about connecting families she works with to services like Libby’s Friends! She obtained her Bachelor‘s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Montevallo and a Master‘s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Alabama.

Kera Jo is from Elberta. Alabama. She is currently employed by AltaPointe Health and is a school-based mental health therapist. She attended Troy University, where she received both my Bachelors and Master’s in Social Work. She currently lives in Orange Beach with her husband and 3-year-old daughter (Charleigh). Kera Jo is passionate about spreading Libby’s Friends to South Alabama!

Trevor is from Birmingham and went to Oak Mountain High School and Auburn University. He and his wife, Evelyn, have been married for 8 years, and they have 1 daughter, Perry (4).

Trevor has been in the insurance industry for 10 years, obtained his Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 2021, and is currently the sales manager at the Watts Allstate Agency in Vestavia. He loves helping people, especially in their time of need.

I love Auburn sports and taking my daughter to Auburn games. We love playing outside with friends, going fishing, playing golf, and going to the beach as much as possible.

Steven lives in Hoover, AL, with his wife and three daughters. He is a certified financial planner for 7 Seasons Wealth. Steven took a year off from LFAB, but returned this year because he missed the community involvement. We are excited to have Steven back on board!

Caroline lives in Vestavia Hills, AL, with her husband and two children. She is a Special Education Attorney for her practice. Caroline recently re-joined LFAB after deciding to stay home with her newborn. Her occupation and home life both make a huge impact on why she cares about our mission! We are excited to welcome Caroline back.

Lindsey lives in Trussville with her husband, Chas, and two children – Waverly-Jane (9) and Briggs (5). Lindsey works as a Hospice Area Manager at Enhabit Home & Health Hospice.

Lindsey’s youngest child, Briggs, is diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder, and she knows firsthand how expensive therapy co-pays add up. She has been dedicated to furthering Libby’s Friends’ mission even before she became a board member!

Ramsey and her husband, Tyler, live in Trussville, AL. She is a Project Manager for Encompass Health, where she helps support all Home Office departments, new hospital openings, conferences, trade shows, and the communications team.

Ramsey graduated from The University of Alabama, where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a specialization in Real Estate, and then went to the University of North Alabama to obtain her MBA.

Allie lives in her hometown, Monroeville, AL, with her husband and three children. She has worked as a Social Worker for the last six years and currently works for SouthernCare Hospice. Allie received her Bachelor’s degree from The University of West Alabama and then went on to receive her Master’s in Social Work from Auburn University. She is excited to be a part of Libby’s Friends South Alabama team!

My oldest daughter, Madeline, was recently diagnosed with a pseudo tumor cerebi, epilepsy, and sensory processing disorder.

Anna lives with her husband and son in Guntersville, AL. She is stay at home mom and caregiver for her son, Myles. Myles is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and CVI. Before Myles’ birth injury, Anna owned her own embroidery business. Now, she loves to share her journey as a medical mom on TikTok (where she has over 55.5K followers!!)! Anna knows firsthand what challenges one faces while navigating life with a disability.

Kimberly is from Trussville, AL, but currently resides in Hattiesburg, MS. Kimberly received her Bachelor’s degree and her PhD in Special Education from The University of Alabama. She is a special education teacher by trade and now an Assistant Professor at the University of Southern Mississippi.

Bailey and her family live in Heflin, AL. She has two children – boy/girl twins! She is a stay-at-home mom and caregiver for her disabled daughter.

Ashley works at Brasfield & Gorrie as a Planner/Scheduler. She currently serves on the board for Glenwood as well.

CeIia was born and raised in Auburn, AL, then made the turn of the century and went to college at The University of Alabama. While she now roots for UA to win the Iron Bowl, Auburn will always be her home. She was a double major in Advertising and Communication Studies at Alabama, and she now works for Encompass Health in the marketing department.

Jennifer grew up in Birmingham and graduated from Oak Mountain High School and Birmingham-Southern College. She has been married to her husband, Warren, for 16 years, and they have two children – Bradley (age 12) and Maggie (age 9). They are active at Mountain Brook Community Church. Jennifer has worked for the same company for nearly 18 years, selling orthopedic bracing and supplies.

Cynthia is known by her patients at Children’s of Alabama as Dr. Wozow. She lives in the Birmingham area with her husband and young son. She attended undergrad at Samford University and received her doctorate at William Carey College of Osteopathic Medicine. Many of Dr. Wozow’s patients have been referred to Libby’s Friends for assistance.
